Thank you for another year of support for this "little label that could".  Single Lock was an idea that turned into a project, which eventually became a full-fledged round-the-clock endeavor.  Our staff in Florence, Alabama works tirelessly to bring this music to your ears, but they can't do it alone.  They are assisted by an all star global network of folks that dig in to the nitty gritty and crunch the numbers to make sure we have the best chance to breaking through the noise and delivering something good into your life.

Most importantly, we're honored to work with some of the most creative people in the world-- our artists.

So follow along to review the year that was, and what's coming next.  We feel confident that there's something for you here.  Music is a gift that brings us joy and reflection 365 days a year.  We are honored to introduce you to art that we think is timeless and important.

As always, THANK YOU for your support of Single Lock and our amazing artists!

NICOLE ATKINS- GOODNIGHT RHONDA LEE

Nicole.  What more can be said about her?  Consequence of Sound called Goodnight Rhonda Lee a "timeless" record.  NPR raved about Nicole's "artful craft" and the NME said it sounded like "the soundtrack to a lost Mad Men scene".  Nicole took these songs on the road, delivering rapturous performances all across the States, then to Europe.  American Songwriter named Goodnight Rhonda Lee one of their Top Records of 2017, and how can you blame them?  It's that good.  Check it out if you haven't already, and catch Nicole back on the road in 2018!  (www.nicoleatkins.com)

the kernal- light country

Rolling Stone said this record was "what could have happened in Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash's Nashville sessions, if they laced "Rainy Day Woman #12 and #35" with speedy honky-tonk guitar and gospel".  I mean... come on!  It doesn't get much better than that!  And take it for what you will... but his showcase at this year's Americanafest was probably the largest concentration of British folk in one room in Nashville in many, many years!  We think that's a good sign.  Beat the rush on this one-- it's a future cult classic.  The readers at Bitter Southerner called it one of their favorites of the year!

BELLE ADAIR- TUSCUMBIA (OUT JANUARY 19, 2018)

Early raves are coming in for this record-- Paste said this music is reminiscent of Big Star and Teenage Fanclub,  A blog in Germany said it was a "Indie-Gitarren-Pop-Track, der die schönsten Seiten von The Byrds, Wilco und Teenage Fanclub miteinander verschmilzt und mit schwelgerischen „Uhuhuh“-Chören aufwartet."  We don't speak German, but that sounds pretty dang good!  Bottom line-- if you've seen John Paul White or Donnie Fritts perform with a band in 2017, this was the band.  It's an indie-pop record that we think will make a big splash.  Beat the rush and reserve your copy today!

AND, JUST IN CASE YOU MISSED IT....

Penny & Sparrow's Let A Lover Drown You is one you shouldn't forget about.  The group just did a session on World Cafe (check it out) and this one is still a classic!

The Pollies have taken the magic of Not Here to a brand new audience-- spending most of 2017 opening and backing up Dylan LeBlanc.  Don't sleep on them!
