Caleb Elliott Releases New Single "Without Warning"

A songwriter, cellist, and multi-instrumentalist steeped in the cinematic sweep of Southern gothic storytelling, Caleb Elliott continues to carve out a singular space between folk tradition, indie rock and noir Americana. Based in Muscle Shoals and bred in Louisiana, Elliott has earned acclaim for his haunting vocals, literary songwriting, and atmospheric recordings, while touring extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe, including performances opening for Alabama Shakes. In addition to his solo work, he co-wrote the opening credits song for The Madness on Netflix.

“Without Warning,” offers the first glimpse into a new chapter of Elliott’s work — one that expands his Muscle Shoals roots into more adventurous sonic terrain. Drawing inspiration from artists like Andrew Bird and M. Ward, the track balances cinematic scope, string-forward production, and intimate songwriting with a quietly hopeful core. “Without Warning is about not letting the anxieties of life steal from you,” Elliott says. “It’s about realizing that we all feel similar fears, big and small, and we are not alone in our journey to overcome them.”

Elliott calls the track “one of my favorite songs I’ve ever recorded,” adding that its sweeping arrangement and warm atmosphere feel tailor-made for summer listening. The single signals a natural progression from his previous releases and hints at a deeply immersive forthcoming album.
