In partnership with Arkam Records, we’re proud to present a new 7” vinyl record from The Pine Hill Haints, “Satchel Paige Blues b/w Whiskey in the Jar”. It’s the first sounds from a new record the Haints are recording for Single Lock. Recorded live to tape at Sundrop Sound in Florence, Alabama by Ben Tanner, two days before Christmas 2019.
The A side is about Mobile Alabama’s legendary Satchel Paige, a King among the Negro Leagues baseball teams and Major League as well, featuring the royal blues harmonica played by the Col JD Wilkes...the B side consists of an old traditional Irish tune “Whiskey in the Jar.”
NOTE: This is a 7” VINYL record. Some call them 45s. This is one of those!
